It reads the lot and finds the story10-20 minutesWhat a good editor would do, if a good editor could read six years of messages in a quarter of an hour: work out where one era ends and the next begins, spot the running joke nobody can explain any more, and pick the moments worth keeping from the thousands that aren’t. The reading is done by AI, and only by AI. Nobody at Thread & Bound can open your chat.

Chapter one · the dry voice

Not Polesgate Again

The season starts the way it always does: someone suggests the usual course, someone else vetoes it on principle, and Fitzy books whatever place serves proper pints. Nobody's handicap can be trusted and everybody knows it.

By the end of the thread they've picked a venue, priced it, and mostly forgotten why.

Greenacres, 65 a Head

Polesgate gets vetoed, Fitzy sets his one condition, and the venue sorts itself out.

Maccaright lads february fixture is pencilled in for the 15th. polesgate again?

Baznot polesgate mate im sick of that track

The messages are printed exactly as they were sent. Four voices to choose from: dry, warm, savage or tender. Hear all four on the website.

Questions people ask
What does it cost?
£9 for the digital copy, which you read on screen today: every chapter, written in full. £49 to have it printed and bound, and the £9 comes off, so £40 more. Delivery from £4.95, chosen at the checkout. Extra copies are £35 each.
My chat is enormous. Is that a problem?
No. The biggest we've made a book from had 26,746 messages. Long chats take a few minutes longer to read.
Do I need the photos?
Only if you want them in the book. Export “with media” and we'll ask your browser for the handful the book uses. The zip itself never leaves your device.
Who else can read my chat?
Nobody here. It's locked on your device with a key that only exists in your private link, and we don't keep that key.
What if the chat has people who'd rather not be in it?
You read and edit the whole book before it prints, and you can take out any message, photo or person.
